Installations / Structures

The installations and structures work directly with reflected light and color. They can take the form of independent free- standing structures (of which only a few have been built), site-specific architectural installations and monochrome walls. Most of the time they use natural light but there have been a couple of indoor pieces which used an ambient mixture of artificial and natural light. Of the free-standing structures the early symmetrical pieces were constructed from the inside out with the most important part being the ceiling and its reflected light. (“Dyein” is the one example included here.) A little later the asymmetric models used an open pinwheel layout where one ended up walking in and on the color.
